Welcome to the board Ryan. Now tell me about your car
I see you have a 03 VW GTI with a HX35 turbo. How much boost are you running and what are the details? My buddy is a Volkswagen freak, he's going to love seeing your car.

Not sure how much boost I'll be running...somewhere around 20psi. Just looking to get a baseline number with the new turbo. 1.8L 20valve, rods, cams, water/methanol injection, 8.5k rpm...I'll be happy with around 350whp or so at the dyno day. Goal is 400whp on pump gas, but not sweating it at the moment.
Thanks for the hospitality!

Wow, that sounds like a pretty stout setup. My brother has a Turbo Buick with methanol and I think he's running about 20psi also. So the motor is fully built? How much do GTi's weigh, like 3000lbs?

I didn't know those were 5 valve motors. Guess that has something to do with them still making power with forced induction that high in the rev range.

Motor has rods, cams, springs, and lifters. Nothing super crazy...the head flows pretty good up top, but definitely could use a lot of work, haha. I just started rev'n to 8.5k, so it'll be interesting to see what it does that high.
Are these dyno days frequent? I'm always looking for discounts on dynojet dyno days, hah.

I think going forward we'll do them at least 2x a year. Probably one for FWD/RWD only, and then an AWD/RWD/FWD one as well. I'll keep you posted
