Default Peterson Automotive Museum Quietly Sells Off Part Of Collection

LOS ANGELES – Several Los Angeles-based news outlets including DailyNews.com have reported that the Peterson Automotive Museum has begun selling off some of the vehicles in its collection. The museum plans to sell a third of its 400 classic cars to finance a makeover of the museum, DailyNews.com reports. The museum plans to shift the focus of the museum to put greater emphasis on French Art Deco vehicles, as well as motorcycles.

The museum began selling off vehicles in March. Some of the vehicles already sold include a 1995 Ferrari F50 that was sold for $1.4 million, a 2006 Bugatti Veyron that went for $924,000 and an 1990 Ferrari F40 that brought in $715,000.
