Default So, my car started shifting like crap and...

So I finally get the Cobra back from the body shop, and I notice that it's starting to shift really notchy. It seems to be especially bad when I have to go into either 1st or reverse. I knew the car has an after market clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster, so I figured maybe the adjustment had just come loose. After looking into it though, it turned out my clutch cable was hanging by a thread. The after market (Fiore Motorsports) clutch quadrant is only smooth where the cable runs, but it jagged on the rim. The previous owner had adjusted the cable to be really firm and over time the cable had been rubbing on the side of the quadrant. I'm lucky I noticed when I did, because it could have easily cut all the way through and I would have been stranded. I will post pictures of the cable later, but suffice it to say it needed to be replaced. Mike was kind enough to replace it today and the difference in clutch feel is amazing. It's night and day. Maybe now I won't screw up so many shifts at the track, but I wouldn't count on that...
