Yes youre right, for whatever reason i had something else tangled up there. If there is a tie for top hand then shuffle and deal right there on the spot.

I can do that.

We know we will need more than one deck, how many decks is the question

The last poker run I went on they had 3 decks per station. All in the same bag. Used casino cards with a distinctive hole in each deck. Car/driver# must be marked on each card. And on entry form marked by official. Car/driver may purchase extra hands also.

I was wondering about some of this and that makes sense.

What is done to keep multiple hands of one entrant separate, otherwise, it would be rather easier for one person to assemble a stronger hand against the pool. I mean if one person bought three hands, and the rest of the pool bought one, but he could assemble one hand to play from his three, his odds of winning are obviously higher than 1/number of entrants and intuitively I think it would be higher than his proportional buy in (e.g., 3/number of entrants). In other words if the hands aren't kept separate, you would be buying an advantage over the average buy into the pool. . . I think.

I say sharpie the backs of cards if someone say bought 3 hands you draw hand 1 then 2 and so on so back of card would look like this:

Vettezuki
Hand 1
Station1

Vettezuki
Hand2
Station1

And so on, also someone would have to write down who got what.

Yes, a mass ledger would probably be best, so we can record who was dealt exactly what card to limit cheating. Its not like we're dealing with true casino style hands, no bluffing etc so its no big deal if management knows who gets what.

I'll venture to say we can make one of the stops at my shop, i have so much work right now to do its best to skip out on the cruises for the most part but I could easily accommodate people coming to the shop to pick up their cards.
