Default Well Angeles crest is open

Too bad one of the first to drive it didn't finish

Happened June 10, 2011

A driver was killed on Angeles Crest Highway just after 3 a.m. Friday when he lost control of his vehicle, careened up an embankment and crashed into a tree, officials said.

California Highway Patrol Sgt. Becky Lynch told the 818 Now that the accident occurred as the driver, a 21-year-old Pasadena man, drove westbound on Angeles Crest Highway near mile marker 31, about seven miles north of the 210 Freeway. Lynch said investigators suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the crash and that coroner's officials will test to determine the driver's blood-alcohol level.

The section of Angeles Crest Highway between La CaƱada Flintridge and Angeles Forest Highway reopened on Friday after being closed for 17 months to repair extensive fire and storm damage.

Condolences to the family...

Know your limits and operate within them, the idea is to have fun.

Quoted for excellence. If you want to push HARD, go to a track, learn, and push hard.

I was going to make M3 driver comment

however
Quote:
Pasadena resident Julio Velasquez, 21, crashed his Honda sedan near mile marker 30.71, a sharp curve about six miles above the Foothill (210) Freeway.
this may be even more stereotypical
