Default My Forged LS3 Widebody Project

My parts started coming in this week. Plans are to keep things the same just with better parts. Wiseco forged 2618 alloy pistons, Scat forged 4340 I beam connecting rods, new GM LS7 lifters and trays. Block with be torque honed and studded. ARP all around. Gonna keep it at 600rwhp but should be bullet proof...at least at that power level.

old vid (car wasnt that lean, bad wideband)

Cool. I'm going to have to freshen up some LS bits here next year.

Before I get started on my motor we're trying to finish this up. 440ci LS7 2000 SS. Cam heads and high compression. Should be a beast.

Sorry I havent updated the thread in a while. A lot has happened since. My car got hit while parked in the driveway so now it turned into a carbon fiber widebody build with new wheels. Instead of me postings a bunch of pictures and writing a love letter heres the link to the whole story.

Copy and paste, I feel so dirty going to a Corvette and LS forum on the same day.

I guess this is one of those that sucks but congrats moments. It sucks that it happened but at least it will be better than it was before. I like the wide body kit you're using, it looks good.

Copy n paste as requested. Lol. Starting with the accident.

Well, I had a slight set back. While moving into my new house on the 31st, I get a call from my uncle telling me someone came around the corner where his house is going too fast, jumping the curb and hitting our cars. This Toyota Camry came over the curb, across the lawn hitting my uncles truck and sending into the rear of my C5. Apparently it was some lady driving. Who knows what the hell happened.

So I figured, might as well do something different. So im doing a bit of a widebody setup. Widebody rear fenders, wide rear rk5 bumper cover, carbon fiber side skirts and a carbon fiber front C5R lip. Thats what the lip is called, not from an actual C5R. Lol. Heres some pics of the parts. I'll let you imagine it and I'll post pics when its all together. Parts are from Corvette Creationz. Great company to do deal.

These will bring these TSW's out 2in. Some fool on CF wanted $300 for similar spacers that werent even hub centric. These were $65, theyre a really nice piece and have a hub lip so youre wheels stay centered. Thats why you gotta shop around.

Test fitted the wheel adapters
