Default Hey from Downtown LA

Hey everyone...brand new to the forums....just wanted to say hi. I've got a 2003 Mach 1 w/ a built 4.6 stroked to 5.0 with a D1SC at about 15 lbs. Hoping to make it to some meets around LA and see some cool cars!

Welcome to the board, and nice car What color is your Mach, who built the motor, and how much RWHP are we talking? I'd imagine 480+ depending on how aggressive you went with the heads and cams.

Uh oh, keep Adam out of here. He'll start to get ideas and ruin a perfectly good DD.

Actually, it's not that crazy - my Cobra has 15lbs too. The important thing though is not the amount of boost, but the fact that my car is still slower than yours

Sean, your car isn't slower than mine! It's the driver!

I had a P-1SC on my 96 GT with a built shortblock and 2003 gt heads. It made ~430rwhp. The D-1SC is a much larger and much more efficent blower. I'm guessing he is making somewhere north (probably well north) of 600rwhp. Which means that his car is faster than both of ours! At least until the road starts to bend.

Anyways, welcome aboard. Sean's Cobra is faster when Sexylexy (J/K) is driving and i'm an internet expert of everything that I have no clue about.

It's an Azure Blue Mach 1...the motor was built by Danny Banh and the last dyno was around 580 rwhp.

I think Azure Blue was the fastest color ever made.

Bring it out to Auto Club Dragway Fontana in November. I'm sure there will be a lot of us there. I'll be there with at least the Chevelle and maybe the Cobra if I can convince my wife to let me take both. With all the broken parts in the past it will be a hard sell.

Let her drive the Cobra on a pass or two, that'll be a lot of leverage.
