Default Official: 2010 Ford Taurus SHO

The new Ford Taurus SHO is official. It has a 3.5L TT V6 with 365hp and 350tq and comes with AWD standard. It also comes with a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The starting price is $37,995. I like it a lot and I bet with very minimal mods it could be a beast

I dig the paddle shifters

Here is the engine bay - I think a large cone filter would definitely provide a pretty good power gain:

I'm becoming intrigued! Sounds like a winner and isn't as ugly as my '89 was. I'll be staying tuned. Even Mrs. Gunfish is interested.

It's a pretty awesome car. It has plenty of room for road trips and I like the exterior and interior. Also, the AWD would be handy in Texas

I agree. I'm also glad Ford didn't go with the Fusion body. Although it's decent enough looking, I need something a bit larger.

Yeah, plus I bet with just a tune, intake, and exhaust you could get somewhere between 425 and 450hp

I'd love to run around in an AWD vehicle with that much power and pick on Vette's/Mustangs/F-bodies from a stop light

Definitely hoping for a better price tag, though.

You and everyone else. Having said that though, I have heard that basically that base price is pretty optioned out and that only rims and some other minor things are options. If that is the case you're still getting quite a lot for your money.

If I get serious, I'll probably wait awhile to see what happens to the selling price. In 1988 when I bought my first one, the dealer wasn't exactly dealing on the price. That's the only time in my life where I paid close to sticker for a car.

I think if you wait a couple months after it comes out you'll be able to negotiate them down pretty good. It's not like the economy is going to suddenly snap back in the next few months....
