Default Tesla Roadster 2

I suppose you guys saw Musk's reveal of the next Roadster along with the Semi.

When I first heard about it, I was kind of excited because if it was in Corvette range cost, it's something I could entertain in a few years. But alas, starts at $200k. Ah well, still pretty amazing.

I'm still curious to see if Mazda comes up with a next gen hybrid RX, where the turbo rotary basically just powers the batteries, it's a combo well suited to the nature of a turbo rotary. That would be in a plausible price range. Or I'll just keep chipping away at the old Vet. It's oldness is mostly charming. But sometimes it's not.

I got into a thing on a tesla thread and challenged the guy to a race to Vegas his tesla vs my 73 F250. He mentioned some model that goes ~500 miles on a charge. I asked "at what speed" and he never responded.
I read where the Tesla can't do the ring in Germany, the system heats up and shuts down.

I did read about a new battery that gets long distance and only 1 minute charging time. That I like. If they can do that it will kill the gas engines.

I think it's mostly a matter of time before the industry sorts out these obvious requirements issues. I know there is incredibly heavy research into battery tech because that is basically the entire problem. The electric motors are no problem at all.

But even now, in typical jack ass street driving, a Tesla S P95D will bitch slap pretty much anything light to light.

I'm interested to see where all alternative fuel cars go, Looks like Ford will bring back the Hydrogen skateboard platform back to the states soon.
