Default 375 ft lbs of torque and 25 mpg

Oh yeah, put a deposit down today. If all goes smoothly I will have my cake and eat it too. (That is, having a vehicle that gets good gas mileage, and can tow.) Also, it's sexy too.

Anyone want to take a guess what it is before I post pics? Second clue, I posted it in the 4x4 section.

Nothing, you didn't guess the year or the color. Loser.

2007 4x4 Limited slip front rear, and center diff. Won't get stuck. Plan to lift it modestly with some 35s or 33s eventually. Report has it that it's geared way too high anyways, so bigger tires should be fine with stock gears.

Sounds nice:

In Europe, South America, South Africa and Australia, a V6 CRD engine produced by Mercedes-Benz was available from introduction in 2005:

OM642 3.0 L CRD V6 Turbo Diesel with Variable geometry turbocharger (VGT). It produces 215 horsepower (160 kW; 218 PS) and 376 lb·ft (510 N·m) of torque at 1,600 to 2,800 rpm at a fuel consumption of 17 city and 22 highway.

In North America and elsewhere this 3.0 L V6 CRD was available for 2007-2008 model years. It includes a diesel particulate filter to reduce exhaust emissions. It was not however available for sale in California or certain Northeast states, due to new stricter emissions regulations for non-commercial vehicles. Vehicles could be bought used in California and Northeast states, as the regulations only applied to new vehicles.

This engine is also used in the Mercedes-Benz ML320.

Yup Texas.

22mpg is not accurate. I've read they can do as good as 28 on the freeway, as bad as 12 if you have a heavy foot. 20/25 seems to be a fair estimate. But either way it's still better than an STI, including the more expensive fuel.

90K... Higher than I'd like to admit, but it was the only way I'd get a 4 wheel drive Diesel unit in my price range. Besides, it's a Mercedes Diesel and it should last forever. There is a Mercedes Diesel million mile club.

I was also thinking about maybe getting some SRT8 body panels for it. I love the way those look.
