Fuck the Government - Part 1,037
So I was parked on the street overnight to clear a space in my driveway for my brother to work in our garage shop late. And because I live in a town where the cops murder homeless people (really) the coffers are probably starting to run a little extra dry. So I got a parking overnight on the street ticket at 3:00am, when nobody is around, virtually the only car on the street in front of my own house. Hey, don't my taxes pay for the roads too?
Seriously, when the great revolution comes, the skulls of parking ticket cops will be high on my list to add my collection.

Word... that happened to me once too. I used to live on a "Snow Emergency Route" street. One day I forgot to pull my car into the driveway cause the wife wasn't home yet (we had a single car driveway at the time and I left for work first) anyways, I got a ticket in March for parking at night on the snow emergency route when there was no snow and clear skies...
Although the college parking lot cops were the worst. I was parked in front of the student union at UND and it had recently snowed so you couldn't see the lines on the road. I was parked on the correct side of the "no parking" sign and got a ticket for parking in a no parking zone. I took a picture, appealed the ticket, and got the finger from the school. I had to pay it cause they don't release transcripts if you have unpaid parking tickets.
I'd love the opportunity to beat the shit out of the college parking nazi and the local meter maid

I got a ticket for my trailer hitch hanging over the side walk at night, maybe an inch at most if at all.

Ron got one of those.

It's just extortion, pure and simple.

Why can't you park on your street? I did when I came over. Or is it just at night?

I'm sure you can get out of it, look up the law, there are always exceptions to those parking regulations. Just fight it and claim one of the exceptions.
