They failed, naturally, because they couldn't adapt to a changed environment. Other species took over, naturally. Nature is continually self-optimizing. Actually the earth was hit by a big rock (6 kilometers wide) 60,000,000 years ago. That's what did it. God (aliens) throwing rocks. If it wasn't for that, you'd look like a lizard instead of a...............

That's my point. The environment changed, in this case because of a big rock. Also many geologists think some other heavy terrestrial shi* was going down at the same time and it was more then they could handle. Point: they were no longer viable under new conditions. Looks like we're going to put our dinosaurs on life support instead of turning them into neat little mammals if you know what I mean.

Yea, if you going to put it that way, you are right. BUT, it wasn' the fault of the Dinosaurs, they were good with the conditions of the time. The rock changed those too fast for the Dinosaurs to adapt.
