McLaren Automotive has announced that it will be formally present at the 2012
Paris Motor Show, unveiling a new car on Thursday, September 27. We have good reason to believe that this could only be the much-rumored
F1 hypercar successor.
Aside from a few spy photos, the only visual hint we get of the next McLaren is this still of time-lapse wind-tunnel testing. In this image, we see the silhouette of a very swoopy design, with several gaping vents.
Rumor has it that the engine will be an 800-horsepower version of the company's twin-turbocharged V8. It would also benefit from a 200-horsepower KERS system, for a total output of 1,000 race-bred horses.
Sift through the small
press release and check out the
teaser photo that looks like it was taken at an Avicii concert. When the curtain drops on McLaren's new offering, we'll be sure to pass it on to you.
