Default Expedition Tire size

My 2005 Expedition came with 18 inch rims(stock f150 rims I think).
I want to add a more off road friendly tires and maybe a tad larger.
Any ideas.... links wanted....

You *should* be able to go 275/70/18

Go to www.Tires.com, enter your vehicle info and it will tell you what tire size options you can run.

A 265/60R18 is roughly 30.5 inches tall. Your truck came stock with a 265/70R18 which are about 32.5 inches tall. What type of off roading do you do in what type of terrain? Is this a daily driver for you as well?

It's my wifes DD. Most if not all the off roading would be done on trips to Pismo and Glamis. I'm thinking I'll get a good set of road tires and get a 2nd set of wheels and tall off road tires for the summer trips.

I've heard the BFG A/T does well in sand. I had them on a Toyota 4x4 I used to have and they worked well for most of the stuff I took them through. I just never had them in the sand.

I've had them on many of my vehicles and always liked them. One set I was not impressed with was a skinny set so make sure you get a decent width or they won't last.

The truck currently has BFG A/T but they are in VERY bad shape (understatement). I was looking at the BFG A/T KO's. The look like they would have a lot of bite in the sand. Anyone know where I get them for a good price? Discount tire or i may have been tire rack wants almost 300.00 each.
