Default Official Which Current American Muscle Would You Like To Own?

Alright, now that I have a pretty good photoshop of the 2010 Mustang and pictures of all three cars from similar angles, which car would you most want to own?

A) 2010 Ford Mustang GT (gets 400hp/360ft/lb 5.0 DOHC motor in 2011, approx curb weight of 3450lbs)

B) 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS (422hp/408ft/lb 6.2L V8, approx curb weight of 3860lbs)

C) 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 (425hp/420ft/lb 6.1L V8, approx curb weight of 4140lbs)

This is a tough call for me. If the rumors are true and the Mustang does get a 400hp DOHC 5.0L in 2011 and can keep the curb weight down to where it is now I think that's the car I'd pick. If the curb weight goes up a couple hundred pounds then it really becomes a tossup for me between the Camaro and Mustang. I love the looks of the Challenger, but it's just too damn heavy. For purposes of this poll I'm taking the Mustang for now, but reserve the right to change my mind if the curb weight gets up over 3600+ lbs.

I agree 100% abut the wieght issue. Weight more than anything elsse kills performance and mileage. I still wouldn't rock the stack though. I'd take wither of the other two. I think if both the ls series motors and the new hemie have alot more potential than the modular line of motors.

I agree 100%, the larger displacement motors definitely have more potential. The other thing to consider is that the Stang still has a live axle and the other two have independent rears. This might offset the weight advantage.

Your right about the live axle! Honestly if i were to buy a musle car it would probably be a terminator mustang live yours. I think ford really nailed it with the 2003s.

My opinion is a little skewed as I am a Ford guy, so that would be my choice. I have never been a fan of the "smiling grill" that Chevy has had. I am sure that the Camaro even if it is heavier would get better gas mileage and performance, that has been my complaint about Fords. Styling is great but the numbers never match up to GM when it comes to HP/TQ numbers and gas mileage.
