Default Memletics, SuperMemo, FreeMind - for enkei et. al.

Just thought of this as enkeivette is in Law School finals hell.

For those who have to memorize, associate, and retain large amounts of information in relatively short period of time, I highly recommend.

Memletics - Study of how to study, learning is a skill like anything else
http://www.memletics.com/

Super Memo
http://www.supermemo.com/

The software is a bit to wrap your head around, but is based roughly on the principle that people spend way too much time reviewing and ingraining what they know and not nearly enough going over their weak points. It's especially great at building vocabulary, terminology, associated concepts, but can do much more.

Free Mind
http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki....php/Main_Page

Mind Mapping Software. This doesn't work so well for list thinkers, but for tangential and network thinkers like me, it's awesome. It's also free and easy to use.

Tools and methodologies for more effective learning regardless of subject. Just thought of it because enkeivette was talking about his 16 hour study days for an upcoming final. Everything is a skill. There's a difference between brute force, wrote memorization, and effecient memorization. Like many things, there's a lot more to it than most people are aware.

I'll read up when I'm on break, thanks Ben. For now I have one left and I don't want to mess with what works.

For me, writing it out by hand works the best. Once I've written it down, I know it.

Yeah definitely don't change anything mid stride. These ideas and techniques are skills that have to be built.

Ok, I'm ready to learn.

I'm almost out of the woods myself, although finals for graduate social science fields are typically papers. These look pretty cool Ben. I'll have to check it out.
