Someone at my work just bought one, it caught my eye when I walked by it in the parking structure. I think they are pretty sweet looking. I don't like the tail lights, and it could use bigger tires/wheels and another 100 hp Finally there is another sub 3k lb car out there. V8 swap in this thing could be interesting

I got an FR-S. If anyone was at Nicks meet July 14th it was there I love the car. Haven't done much with it because it is still in the break in process, but I cant wait till that's over.

Do a massive burnout and rack it up to 120 and your break in is over.

I'm serious. Its how i've broken in all my vehicles, nothing seats the rings faster and puts the engine through a perfect heat cycle.

I agree Running a new motor hard when its new will make everything fit better over the long haul. The worst thing to do is just put around town.

NICE! Congrats on the purchase. i'm coming up on 4k miles now and LOVE every day with it!

I tried hard to be moderate to it during break in, i read a lot of stuff like what the folks here have mentioned and ended up beating on the car in the canyons and getting the baseline dyno before 1000miles maybe bad in the long run, but i'm not too concerned

Finally, before any mods, the car needs tires, I notice it slips around and squeals everywhere lol kinda embarrassing sometimes when people think i'm trying to show off in a parking lot when i'm just going 10mph LOL trying to figure out which ones to buy now...

Break in cycles for new motors and old motors are quite a bit different. You don't have to worry all the much about modern motors. It was more important in the olden days when the tolerances were much lower. AIR, it was mostly to do with fully seating the rings. Again, not so mission critical with new engines.
