Is that a 4 rotor engine?

Lemans and Sports car racing are different than F-1. Was this different back in the early 90's? A little cross pollination.

As far as Lemans engines getting banned it's not uncommon. They have to feild something similar to what they are racing. In the late 90's this happened to BMW who was racing a 3 series based GT-3 car with a 4.0l v-8.

The c6R motors haven't been banned, but they are virtually choked to death with intake restrictors.

the 787b was the only japanese car to win the 24 hour race.

There was an article in one of the corvette mags not long ago about a GT series (forgot which one) in which a privateer C6 team with basically stock cars outfitted for track duty as a private person could do, but with intake restrictions and tire restrictions still whooped up on F430, and Lambo competitors.
