Nissan has teased the automotive world with a "high-character" concept it will reveal later this month in Brazil.
The two fragments we get seem to show a look, sleek sports coupe or hatch with multiple openings in the lower front and behind the front fender. In back, the hint of a
Veloster-like glass hatch is evident above wildly-styled taillights.
It's fun to imagine a small, sporty alternative to the
Juke, but alas, keeping in mind the venue where it is to be unveiled, we expect a more pedestrian vehicle with economy, not handling, in mind.
In a press release (
available below), Nissan's Senior VP and Chief Creative Officer Shiro Nakamura says the concept will "dazzle."
"It is a genuinely new and exciting concept, and it will explode with energetic design and impressive color that fully express our impression toward the country." He continues, "When our designers arrived in Brazil to start work on the project, they loved the vibrancy and passion of the country but were a little surprised in the rather conservative colors of the cars on the streets... they all seemed to be monochrome - silver or black."
The Sao Paulo International Motor Show begins October 24 and runs through November 4.
