Default 8.8 quake in Chile

8.8 quake is really up there. That is probably a mistake.

Nope. That same spot holds the world's record of 9.5.

I was going to go to the La Jolla cliffs in anticipation of the 'tsunami' we were on alert for.

Then I read we would be getting "6-7 foot swells" and I yawned.

Least the people in Chile are in better shape than Haiti as far as building codes and infrastructure goes.

When Cali gets 'the big one' i might not be in too good of shape. I'm in a apartment building stacked on top of a huge underground parking structure >.<
