Air Conditioning Help
Since I've had the Cobra, I've had problems with the AC. Paul found two leaking o-rings about 2 years ago and replaced them. It blew cold for a while and then gradually got warm again. He filled it up again, and now it's doing the same thing. Clearly it has a leak from somewhere. Does anyknow have any recommendations on AC places?

You might want to call California Auto Refrigeration (I think that was there name). They don't do service anymore, just sell parts for EVERYTHING ever made. But I imagine they should be able to refer you to a quality dedicated A/C place.

Yeah, it doesn't basically work at all now. I need to figure out something, but don't want to spend a fortune. I think I'm going to hit up Paul again first

I can fix it for you, sounds like you have a leak. At minimum you're going to need a new accumulator, I'll dye the system and find the leak, fix it, vacuum it, and recharge it.

What does the accumulator do? The system runs fine. When it was recharged it blew ice cold. The motor is still running, it's just warm air. Do you think it could be just a leak?

The accumulater absorbs moisture(water vapor) in the system...moisture is bad ! If you have a leak, moisture can be introduced into the system. It is reccomended the accumulater be replaced anytime the system is open.

Wow, thanks to kommiefornia each can is $18.99 with a $10 core charge now, you'll need 3ish cans, so after the core return is about $9 a can
