CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team. It's free and run by the Fire Department of each city. I'll be doing it in Fullerton April 10,17,24 8:00-4:00.

There are lots of reasons to do CERT training.
- In case of emergency you'll be far better prepared to help your immediate family, your neighborhood and local community. In large scale disasters this can be critical as limited resources will be immediately consumed and it could be some time before the "big guns" arrive.
- You can put it on file with your employer. It makes you a bit more valuable as an employee asset.
- You get a badge, vest and hardhat. Oh yeah, that gives you some right of way and access in times of emergency that you wouldn't otherwise have.
- It's a required base to many other training programs if you want to start getting serious.
- It's probably good somebody on Motorgen cruises knows how to set compound fractures, make a tourniquet, etc.
