I think mine is really causing me grief. Are there any options I wonder for a drop in for an 82 Vette that provide 60 PSI (for and LS motor)?

The high pressure Walbro 255lph that I had in the Cobra lasted 80,000 miles before I replaced it and I think the plugged up pickup screen is the only reason it was going.

That's what I need (I have a 255lph Walbro, almost certain of it.). Wonder if aeromotive makes a drop in to fit my tank?

BTW, did you clean your tank? I think I might have a ton of siht at the bottom of mine that precipitated all this. Wonder what I should do? Drain, drop it and send it some where for a flush and lining if anybody does that sort of thing. Maybe just replace it with a fuel cell if there is an off the shelf one that's not too crazy expensive. This has been a real PITA.

They do make a drop in, FYI any pump you buy that's not walbrow or areomotive is still going to be walbrow whether its badged as such.

So there's two OEMs? What about Walbro vs. Aeromotive on fundamental quality. I don't want to blame my fuel pump for what may have been the problems of 20+ year old tank, but if I have to replace I want to replace with what's best.

I hear complaints on both companies, no reason to change from walbrow unless you have a chronic issue

I didn't clean the tank because it didn't look bad. The screen was the original which had 191,000 miles on it. There are companies that clean and coat tanks. My dad had a few tanks done over the years when he owned Reliable Motors in Temple City. I just don't know who he used. Have you checked you fuel pressure? Mine was low which is how I knew my fuel pump was an issue.

When we checked once with the Tech II it was around 58 steady and would drop suddenly with the stumbling. But I don't know if that's cause or effect. . .

I didn't but LS1Z28 did and he said it was fine. Which is why I'm leaning towards some wiring/electrical issue. But I know very little about automotive wiring, so I don't know where the wiring to/from the pump is going/coming from. It'd be nice to find out all this was just a dodgy splice that acts up when moisture is around or something like that.
