A few trademark drawings of what could be the production
Gumpert Tornante have shown up on the internet. As you may recall, the supercar manufacturer recently made its way
through insolvency largely unscathed and is already back to building
Apollo models. But it looks like that isn't all the company is up to. The team at
WorldCarFans managed to lay its mitts on a trademark drawing that shows what looks to be an evolution of the Gumpert Tornante by Touring Concept that debuted at the
2011 Geneva Motor Show.
Designers have scrapped the concept's split rear window in favor louvered back glass, and the vehicle's exhaust seems to have received a substantial revision as well. While it's unclear exactly what sort of drivetrain the production Tornante will offer, it's concept predecessor came packing a twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8 engine producing somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 horsepower. The mill was bolted to a TT40e six-speed semi-automatic gearbox. Sounds like a party.
