Is there any way you can just make that part of the profile options so we can just change it whenever? I think i've been on a forum that has let me do that before. Maybe not.

It is an option and the Libertarian in me is seriously leaning towards enabling it. The Moderator in me just doesn't want to have to oversee anything more than absolutely necessary.
