I'm going to use the same cam I'm using now. I think the specs will work nice with a Procharger. It's a Comp Magnum solid roller that has .620 lift and 246 @ .050 with a 110 separation.

Yep, that is within the specs I've been working with. How it's manners in a 454?:

What's the intake center line on the Comp cam? I'm thinking 108* but have seen some Comps with 106*.

It's 106 and I love the cam. It has a ton of low end torque and pulled good to 6500. The valve springs are getting worn so I'm loosing some of the top end.

You probably already know this but if you're considering boost, keep it between 110 and 114. 106 for a NA motor would be gnarly though.

Don't go with a 377. I can see how it's appealing as a high reving odd ball motor but a C2 like yours needs to shake the earth when it fires. If you can do a 496... do it.

106 is the center line, 110 is the separation. It's simular to what I'm running in the Cobra which is Cranes version of the E303. It also has a 106/110 but with only 220 @.050 and a .480 lift. With the Cobra the bottom end feels like a N/A car but when you get to 3000 and start making boost it just pulls hard.

To make it survive on 91 octane I have the initial timing set to 6 (not sure what total is because the tuner set it) and when I run race fuel I bump it to 14 and have another tune for it.

I figure that I will have the same results in the Chevelle. I should have around the same bottom end that I do now which is more then enough since I can break the tires loose at 60 on the freeway in third gear. It'll just be stronger from 3000 up with the blower.

It's part # 11-692-8. It's the smallest of the solid rollers in the Magnum series. The reason I chose it was because it has a cast iron distributor gear so I didn't have to change the gear on my distributor.

The lifters are Chet Herberts, I've had them for about 7 years and haven't had any issues. I originally had a herbert cam but some of the lobes went flat which is when I installed the Comp.

I fixed the problem with the miss. Are you ready.......................? It was the Pertonix unit--the rivets that hold the head unit to the base were loose allowing the head to move around. Hence the miss. Prined the rivets and everything is fine. Except the ribration is still there.

So does that mean it pulls to 7000 again?

I took it to 6,000 but the vibration got a little out of hand.
