the check point was Chapman just east of Magnolia they had all the lanes blocked an unmarked whte van parked on one side and a cop directing traffic in to the line to the mobile dyno set up they had all set up

i guess for the drive by sniffers you could turn your car off, right?
also, for the mobil smog machine, awd guys are okay, fyi...they only have a setup with two rollers, so it would be impossible

They could be tested as two speed idle test (2500rpm and idle) with a visual and function test. That is the way they are tested at most smog shops, since most test stations do not have 4wheel dynos.

long story short...have no front plates installed and drive really slow so the guy behind you rides your ass then they cant take their pic... Id rather get a $10 no front plate ticket then a $2500 emissions fine.
