Default Best driver/riders who is your pick

Ayrton Senna would be my top for f1 followed by Michael Schumacher. And Valentino Rossi for motogp. Marion Lee "Mickey" Thompson and John Force for nhra funny car. Colin McRae for rally. Those are my top picks for my top racing series. Oh and the stig ftw for everything else hahaha.

I think Michael Schumacher is better than Senna, but otherwise I agree.

It's impossible to compare. The statstics are only a kind of guide. Senna raced in an era when there were several towering giants. The cars were radically different, including cars that had to be manually shifted. The circuits were different. They're both magnificent. When it comes to things like this I tend to think in levels rather than absolute ranking. As far as my preference because of the "kind" of driver, their passion for the sport at fundamental level, etc., I'd have to go with Senna. He also had a great deal to say about racing and its relationship to life. He was certainly more philosophical about what he was doing, at least publicly.
