All the complaints about the Continentals that I found posted in the internet don't relate to the extreme series, but the older series of tires. The dry/wet tires will work better, and I did 65% off for the rear tires that I wore out in 12K miles. I did get a set Hankook Ventus V12 Evo for $790 out the door. They turn in and stick better than the Continentals DWS Extremes. I hope they will last until the next oil change. I did make the run just in time and was the last car in the pack up the road. I was glad that Carlos and Ben drove slowly so I could keep up. Great drive and good food. I was glad I was able to make it.

I drove slowly. Carlos was stuck behind me. Honestly, though, it wasn't thaaatt slow. You guys have way more modern tech and driver experience.

No way I could even come close to keeping up with Carlos. His Vette is an animal. I enjoyed following him just for the sound track. My STS-V does ok, but I would not be able to keep up with either of you if you were going all out. The extra 1000 pounds of weight I carry will keep me from being competitive. I wasn't going to push the car too hard because the front tires were brand new, I drove straight from the tire dealer to Kohls, and I was not too sure how the car will handle with the front tires having so much more traction than the rear. When I applied power the rear started to squirm so I just tried to be smooth.
