Next we need that glue that bonds fiberglass to metal. The stuff I bought to do my car bonded SMC to metal, but I'm willing to bet if SEM or someone makes a glass to metal glue it would be cheaper than what I used.

Mine was $50 a tube, so you might want to get Kameleon to hook you up with a discount or maybe score some online if it's cheaper.

If you don't want to bond the bumper to the metal I might be able to make the edges nice enough after some finessing to just bolt on with a seam, but that will take alot more time.

If it worked on SMC it'll stick to metal and glue. Thanks Bird.

I'd love to, but I'm in SD for school again.

Which reminds me, you guys (namely Ben who wants the freakin interior and engine bay painted) can sand shit and get the car ready to shoot. I'm not sanding the interior or the engine bay. If no one else wants to we can try a self etching primer.

That rear bumper is basically done. Just need to glass the edges on it and screw it in place. After one more day we can prime it if the hood is worked out. We don't need to wait on the front bumper since it's not going to be molded in. Unless you changed your mind about that.

You can also sand off any rust and spot prime it. Even with a rattle can if you're afraid of the hvlp gun.

I posted this out in the regular forums to attract people to the project, but it should be here too.

We should spray the light(s) with candy white to make it blend in with the paint.
