You can take the car to ANY repair shop that you want. Find a shop that claims the bumper needs to be replaced, simple as that.

You don't have to provide 3 estimates, etc. Let the insurance company haggle with the shop, and tell the shop you want to split the difference for the Cobra bumper.

They submitted teh claim as a replace and my iunsurance said repair. I really can't agrue. There is just a small gouge in the bumper. They said I can bring the new bumper in and they would paint and install for the claim price basically. I really would rather spend the $600 for the new bumper on performance mods.

How bad is this scratchAlso do you have to pay your deductible for this, if so is it even worth the fix? You know your just going to be upset with the paint.

I would rather have a slightly different color fixed bumper than a bumper with chips and a pretty nast gouge in it. Will get a pic up eventually.
