Correct. But I can build one for a lot less than it cost to buy a crate engine.

You let me know. I work closely and am friends with a shop owner and a machinist. We put my motor together for a very budget friendly cost. 600rwhp through an auto and conservative tune with a smaller pulley waiting to go on.

And guess whose oil looks like a chocolate milkshake? That's right this guy. Just found out yesterday at the shop. They are pulling the heads and the oil pan to assess the damage. Looks like its a small leak the car runs strong and has no knocks. May pull the engine to freshen up the bearings is there is any material in the pan.

Doesn't take much water to kill a bearing. If you can freshen it up do it man. Better then doing the work twice later.

Yes it's on the vette. It is getting worked on. They are waiting on the new seats to arrive so I had them change all the fluids in preparation. They noticed the oil was milky. I gave them the ok to pull the heads. It's frustrating. The OMP seats I had won't fit with the side impact bars so I had to get new sparcos. Now this shit. They are pulling the pan and i will have them replace the bearings too. There is too much $ risk not to do it.

That sucks but at least bearings are cheap. Well paying someone to do them isn't but the bearings are.

The Hello Kitty Miata somehow lost a bunch of its oil since the last change and my wife said it was making a funny noise coming home. That funny noise is almost certainly a destroyed main bearing at least, which makes me a sad panda.

Well see what the charge will be. I have literally spent thousands with these guys. Lol. I was watching them install a new dyno and all that was in my head was I paid for that. Oh well it's an expensive hobby.
