Here's what Joe wrote on a 70 Hemi Cuda (that sold for 2,000,000 dollars) that he tested 35 years before. The trans blew on that test in 70.

Here's a taste of what he wrote on this drive:

"...and I would be the first to admit that the lowliest Dodge Neon can run rings around any Morpar Muscle car of the sixies in terms of ride and handling and driving comfort. But as far as ambiance from the drivers seat, no amount of modern technology can match the sheer thrill of being the master of a 426 cubic inches of leashed fury".

This from the guy 35 years earlier wrote just how much he disliked Mopars--even the Hemi.

Are "you people" interested in this stuff? If not, I'll quit posting this.

I (myself) find this shit VERY interesting. I know "you people" may find the old Muscle Car stuff boring.

Powerpro Series
HOW TO BUILD & MODIFY
CHEVROLET SMALL-BLOCK V8
CYLINDER HEADS

By David Vizard

I'm sure some of you know of Vizard's writings. He is USUALLY right on. I don't always agree with his findings, but he is detailed. Good reading

GODs Chevy building Book:

POWER SECRETS
By Smokey Yunick

What Smokey says to do, you do it.

No one has ANYTHING on Smokey.

It's a little dated now, but a MUST READ for any Chevy guy.

I once read an article by Smokey on modifying a small block for better exhaust valve and spark plug cooling almost 30 years ago. I STILL do that to MY small blocks. The current 400 block in the VETTE has this mod.

CHASSIS ENGINEERING

BY HERB ADAMS

Good book.

Be good for the Snake -- if you wanted to road race.

Have you read "How to Make Your Car HandleHow to Make Your Car Handle ." That's a handy and easy to understand book for the layman, no engineering physics required. I don't know the Cassis Engineering book, but it's referred to a lot.
