No clue what it weighs. More than I'd want parked on my foot. And it's blast to drive. It'll get loose at 70 if you jump on the go pedal.

We're still waiting. What do you have done to the engine? How about what trans, gears, etc.? Have you had it at a track yet? Inquiring minds want to know!

If it's getting loose at 70, you're making at least 500rwhp. Ask me how I know.....

There you go-- thanks G!

The engine started life as a crate LS-7. 454/460. It's had GM aluminum heads, a ZL-1 cam and I added ARP rod bolts when I put the original 12.5 pistons back in it last winter. 4 speed and 4:11 gears. It's never ever been on any kind of track, but has seen some action on the street. Most notably the PO got jumped by a Hemi 'Cuda somewhere around 1972. Sent him home with his tail tucked.

That's not true. I only made 360rwhp the last time I dyno'd my Chevelle and it will get loose at 70 on it's 255/60/15 radials.

BFG's don't stick....I have Dunlop 295/50's and when I had my old 383 (about 370rwhp) I could barely squeal them in second from a roll. Now, with my ProCharged 383 and 3.08 rear, I smoke'em from a third gear roll....

Those BFG tires Eagle IIs (?) are possibly some of the worst tires ever made. Except for doing burnouts, then they're darned good.

Numbers, there are no numbers. Hell, Ole Red scared the dyno so bad it pissed all over itself.

The numbers were a bit off from what everyone expected. At 3800 RPM the dyno was showing 398 HP. From there, the chart took a nosedive and had a really bad case of the shakes. At the time, the general consensus was that it was slipping or bouncing on the rollers. It pulls hard all the way up to 7000.

398 hp at 3,800 rpm is nothing for the cam you have. It doesn't START to make power till 4,500 rpm. When you can get a REAL pull- that will be VERY interesting.
