Sorry, nothing. I very much married the wrong person for the wrong reasons. IShe has since rectified that for me and now I am with someone who fits me pretty good I think. I am better off now then I was before. Leason learned loud and clear (too bad it was soooo expensive)

Definitely. I've known you a long time and this is the happiest I've ever seen you

LOL, don't worry, someday you'll go down like the rest of us. It's really only a matter of time

We are talking about Jerry right? I think he is safe until they lift the ban on marrying farm animals!

You guys talk about dating like it's selecting a brand of bread in the grocery store. Easier said than done to 'find' the 'right' person. And no one on this forum is Brad Pitt and can pick the best girl off the 10 page list. We're limited by our own desirability and proximity.

Realistically, some of you are not compatible or for whatever reason you'll never find the 'right' person, or even one that is sufficiently compatible to keep you happy.

Do Sean and Ben have perfect relationships? I don't know, but... no, they don't. No one person can keep you at maximum bliss, all of the time. But hopefully you can find someone that tips the scale in a favorable direction, heavily. The problem, as I believe it to be, is that people marry young and personalities change, or people marry prematurely, and hidden personality characteristics come out.

Glenn, you've been with Darlene for awhile, doubt she's hiding anything. And I suspect she's not 19, so she prob won't be changing much when the ring slides on her finger. I predict success.

You're hitting on a couple critical issues. Perfection is a delusion of the human mind, or at least a moving target of shifting priorities and perceptions.

Love and relationships are living things that need to be cared for, they do not take care of themselves with magic. It's really not totally incomparable to a labor of love like on your cherished car or whatever. Put in the attention and get the payoffs. If it feels like drudgery or work, then you've got the wrong person, or car for that matter. But ebbs and flows are normal. Work through the valleys and the peaks get better over time, like a well seated set of rings.

BTW, Disney and other unrealistically romantic notions have F'd a lot of relationships up.

I leave you with what one of my guitar teachers told me (he taught me a lot of things including guitar).

Women. They're the best. They're the worst.

There. Bet you feel better.
