Not trying to defend Chevy here, but I am saying, Ford has its downfalls too. Big downfalls. Find me one person that owned a Taurus in the 90s with the original automatic transmission.

Btw, if you want to talk about vehicles on the side of the freeway let's talk abou the genius at VW that decided to make an engine block out of magnesium. Talk about a fire that you can't piss out.

Nothing I do is lame!!!

You missed my point. Hell, being almost a lawyer, I thought you could keep up.

During the 70s there were so many crap cars made by all manufactures it was down right laughable.

GM trucks ( I believe found in the 80s ) with a side impact would blow up. This was due to the fact the fuel tanks were OUTSIDE the frame rails.

My point, there are crap cars by all manufactures.

We used to break up the cases and then burn them in a fire. Yep, real fun.

Sometimes I'm in disbelief that the custom work I do on my back on my driveway holds up better than stuff that the big 3 put out into mass production. And I'm no TT.

I seriously want to buy his car btw. When I start making money in a couple years I'm going to make him an offer on it. With some paint and body work, and a cooler set of seats than the ones he picked out, that is my dream C3. And I will drive it on the street, oh yes, I will.

I don't think he'll sell it. It's his baby, just about literally and people don't generally sell their children. Some of the things he did you could duplicate here just as well, but he's got TONS of completely custom engineered and fabricated stuff, like his rear suspension setup which is guarded like a national security secret, trust, I've tried.

For years after the Vega was out, you'd see them along the side of the road with blown engines.

This is where auto mechanical history pays off. I had a 1922 chevy engine I sold in 1978 or so. A friend who was REALLY good looked at it, and said, "wholy crap. That's the Vega block." SO, we checked it out, and yep, they pulled out the old drawings/molds, and recast it .

(Lesson #1, Detroit NEVER tosses anything. It gets recycled ALOT).

News flash. TT is a consumer, not a seller. All that stuff he has goes ONE WAY.

Everything is always for sale. The question is, will I offer enough money.

True. But he doesn't need the money.
