Nice, I just ordered the rear control arms and the upper control arm, along with the rear control arm relocation brackets and catalytic delete pipes. I'm trying to get around the same 10.5, but I'm going with forced induction because ti will be a daily driver. The Cervini's hood looks great.

went to the track for a rental this pass Friday to test the new set up.. car picked up 4mph and .22 tenths in the 1/4 (fastest was 11.22 at 120.8).. I didn't really like how the 4.30 gears worked out so she is in the shop getting another set of lower gears installed. we are also installed a Pulse Wheel on the crank to help pass the 7700 redline problem. with this part we will be able to tune the car up to 8100rpm

Nice. What is the issue with the 4.30 gears? By the way you need a higher flash stall.

those launches were with my new 5c converter which is at 4300.. I was using the foot brake and E brake at 4000 launch..

I was thinking that staying in 4th would be the best but I don't think it is. once I get this 7700 rpm problem and we can get her up to 8100 I can stay in third gear with 3.31s and its one less gear switch in the 1/4 mile.. also it should increase my MPH another 3 so I should be close to 124 or more.. this SHOULD get me my 10 sec slip before I start in loss some weight from the car. she is still at 3760 with me in it..

Oh and the Motive gears SUCK.. the gear whine is so Freakin bad..

It doesn't sound anywhere near that high and with the way you where pushing it in the beams I thought it was much lower. Did your 60ft improve with the 4.30's over the 3.31's?

yup it was up there.. and I went from 373 to 430s and it did a little but not worth the noise.. we will see how the 331 work shortly later this month at the track..

I'm surprised that you have noise. I used Motive gears in the front of the Explorer and they didn't wine at all. The only issue I've had is three teeth broke on the ring gear which caused a vibration but that's not the fault of the gear. That's just a given with 4.56 gears and a locker in a Dana 30 with 33's and a 5000lb truck.

What did you set the backlash at? Do they make noise all the time or only on accel or decel?

we spent a full day setting the lash.. it is on accel and avg speed. its loud. its all good I really want to try out 3.31's and spin this cars RPM in third gear.. we are thinking it should trap about 124 to 125 with these gears and 8100 red line now.
