Updated OP regarding $$.
PM me if you want to get on board with adding some scratch. Yes this means you're involved and yes this means you'll get a chance to drive the car at least at Adam's or AutoX, etc. If you're a hella god driver, you might have a shot at making it to the show . . . Lemons, Chump Car, etc. It also means you get a stake in the car, so when it's sold (assuming it isn't destroyed from some reason) you'll get a proportional return.

Purchased this cam and lifters kit and will be getting the engine tomorrow. After tomorrow, the account will be slightly red, and no further purchases will be made until there is income from sales of parts off the car or further contribution.

Do we have to include tax in the price? I'm not sure on the rules.

EDIT: I'll modify the accounting on the front page. Expense will include the full price paid, including everything because this is what concerns me in reality regarding money in/out. Expense for the base car will be only cost of parts only, NOT including tax or other fees, etc.

With that cam, 9:1 compression, the ported heads and the 2 barrel Holley carb that the engine is coming with we should be able to make 300 flywheel horsepower.

Guy, here's a pic of the interior. It's basically grey with a hint of blue. I figure between the interior, blown motor, stock rear axle and whatever else we can salvage, we'll need to get about $200 or so to hit the $500 mark for the car.

I'm scheduled to pick up the motor on Thursday. I'll drop the motor and cam/lifters at Ron's and the axle at John's. NOTE: We'll need a flywheel, but I figure those are almost like a commodity item for 5.0s?
