After that he decided he would just try to catch any of the bolts I dropped.

He was really dedicated to his work.

They had 4 but 3 of them were 4 cylinder cars and the other was an '85 speed density.

I think Ben is the first person to ever wear loafers to a junkyard.

I bring a certain je ne sais quoi to everything I do.

On a tangent though, those were just slip on shoes not really loafers. I will say this, I would wear my boots next time, mostly for grip. There was a lot of oil on the ground and a little bit slippery.

I like barefoot a lot of the time (e.g., shoeless house). . . but at a yard? Mmm, no.

Yeah, pinch moment on the way home from the dojo while getting ready for knotts. I will go anywhere I can without shoes, Vanessa doesnt like it though

Our feet are perfectly well suited to getting around just fine in a lot of enviornments. They do need protection in some though. It's also clear, however, overly protective shoes, like in the case of running shoes, lead to injuries. Are you familiar with Vebrams and similar minimalist shoes?

PS Get Vanessa to just go shoeless in the house. It really is a change of mindset. My wife is Japanese and this was a non-negotiable. I didn't think about it so much when we met, but now I literally feel strange when wearing my shoes in someone's house. From a simple practical POV, it just makes cleaning a little easier. You aren't bringing in nearly as much shit from the outside world. But I think it goes much further than that.
