Thanks to Paul again! That fixed up the basic problem. I changed out the t-stat though and it seems it's running hot. I'll start another thread for that one.

Also, thanks to Shaolin Crane for hooking me up with a set of valve springs at VERY low price. I broke right now, so things tend to sit if they ain't cheap.

Don't forget to tell Chuck he's full of it.

[kdracer73 had a manual valve spring compressor, no leverage. His mechanic pal Chuck told him it'd be easy enough to push the springs down. Ha! It took both of us on a count of 3 to get enough force to compress the spring far enough to lock it. If I had to do this again I'll be borrowing the LS head spring compressor which just bolts in and has a lever.]
