The Raptor throw down reminded of something. Strangely, in the UK, which in a lot of respects is pretty commie-pinko, is remarkably open ended when it comes to making road legal autos. Seriously, you can drive a Radical there on the streets (!!). If our laws on liability and what constituted a "manufacturer" weren't so prohibitive, we'd probably have a ton more small builders like this. Think of it as the micro-brewing of automobiles.
