I'm not a huge bike guy, but that's a beautiful bike. I'd rather have a Ducati though. Saying it's overpriced is like comparing a Lamborghini and a Ferrari - sure you could argue they're both overpriced (a Z06 Vette could compare quite favorably at a track or in a straight line to both for way less) but if I were rich, I'd buy a Ferrari . Those kind of vehicles have some intangible that's hard to nail down.

I guess that's what I meant. Money no object, a Ferrari has a design appeal and cache all its own. Money no object, I wouldn't gravitate towards this Agusta over a GXR, it doesn't have anything like the same design appeal.

I hear you, I feel the same way about Porsche's sometimes. Porsche designs while classy just don't do much for me compared to Aston/Ferrari/Lamborghini.

Porsche is still (at least up to the entry level 911s) a middle class car. When I was a kid I loved them, especially the bulging ones, I had posters and everything. Then not so much. I'm kind of liking them again, they really are quite refined and I see them for what's great about them. They are actually a very practical drivers car, including reasonably good mpg, smallish footprint, great visibility, etc. I'd have one in the garage . . . after a Ferrari.

bike is just sexy. But think of it as a lambo or ferrari Yeah its fast its a sportbike not as fast as all of them but if you pull up on that or a duck( ducati ) You'll be noticed you don't have the be the fastest. Think of a R1 or GSXR 1k as a c6zo6 and the Augusta as a f430. Which one is faster which one will pull more attention. Same result on the bikes.

This seems to be the running analogy. I'm just saying it doesn't have the same kind of "class" over the Japanese bikes that say a Ferrari has over a Corvette. At least night to my eye. JMO. But I definitely get the snob appeal and there ain't nothing wrong with that.

That's why Bruce Wayne drives one. And it does look different than a Jap bike, just like the Ducati, the ferring is larger and more pronounced. Sort of like the Busa over the GSXR, and yes I know that's a Suzuki too. You get the point though.
