Banks and Bullydog are pretty big for selling crap. This is for his mom anyways, I don't think she cares about huge HP numbers, just better fuel economy.

I actually don't(!) want to increase power hardly at all. That transmission is notorious for not holding up to anything marginally beyond stock power. There is no cost benefit if I/we have to drop >$1k into a trans as well. It doesn't get driven that much overall. Stock power is fine for the work it does on occasion.

Getting rid of the DPF seems to be a universal 2-5mpg improvement. Especially if in triple digit mileage, because there is a good chance it will be clogged.

But Im with Guy, if you get a tune, flash the ECM. Do not get one of those add on boxes, they just dump fuel to make more power and wont help your mpg
