Default Glow plug resistance vs module

Where do I post about my german apple pie vehicle, import or domestic? Ha

So my Jeep threw a code for 2 glow plugs a few months ago, changed the 2 and immediately as soon as I turned it on it threw a code for the glow plug module. Too big of a coincidence IMO. I measured the glow plug resistance out of curiosity and I noticed that the new plugs were around 4-8 ohms, while the broken plugs were 180 ohms, and the used working plugs were 40-60 ohms.

Im thinking that since there is a wide variance between glow plug resistance, the comp might interpret this a glow plug module failure? Since its trying to send much higher voltage to certain plugs and not others??? Thoughts?

Anyways, I ordered 4 new plugs to test this theory. If they dont fix it I guess the module is next without an alternate theory.

Huh, it threw the same code after changing only some of the glow plugs?

Yeah, it threw the code for a glow plug issue on the left bank so I changed all 8. Then threw a code for all 8. Ended up having to change the module.

It was the module btw, replaced all of the glow plugs and the code came back.
