Default My legal writing professor was just describing a drivetrain...

It was sooo cute.

"You've got all these things and rods that come out and go down and connect to the gear box and then these other things that connect to the transmission and then these other rods and things that connect back to your axles. And without all of these things, you wouldn't even be able to get into first gear."

I started laughing out loud and she looked at me.

That's funny. I can remember back in high school for economics class I wrote a paper on carb vs EFI. She told me later that she had to have her husband grade it because she had no idea what I was talking about. I got an A.

So did you stay after and tell her what all the things were?

Still in class, but no. She won't remember, and I doubt she'd care. That's funny about your paper, you're a petrol head alright. ...What do you do for a living?

Welcome to my world. I get calls everyday (60 times a day) like that and I'm suppose to figure out what they are saying

When people would tell my Mercedes tech friend that their car was making a funny noise, he would tell them to come back when the noise was hilarious.

You would think that I was in the auto industry but I’m not. I'm a Technical Support Analyst for VeriFone, Inc. We manufacture Credit and Debit machines and I do technical support for ISO’s (independent Sales Orginizations). I've been in the industry since 1990 right after high school. I did however work for Econo Lube back when I was in high school.

You are correct but Phil is more into 4x4s and bikes than he is cars. I've always been more into cars but have always had trucks too.
