Default My C5 LS3 Cam Only Rough Tune Dyno

Well, the car still needs quite a bit of tuning but I got a baseline on my current rough tune. Car dynoed at 460rwhp/455ftlbs on a Superflow eddy current dyno. Needs less timing up top and a lil less fuel. 1 7/8 headers and intake porting are in my future plans. Still as is, its making 20-30 more ftlbs of torque then most LS3's Ive seen with this cam. Hopefully some more tuning can net me another 10-15hp.

Stock L92 shortblock
Stock LS3 tb, intake, heads and rockers
TSP 231/236 114lsa cam
PRC .675 valvesprings
TSP 1 3/4 headers

(Forward vid to 1:08)

Isn't the LS3 only rated at 420 or 430hp?? If so, those are nice numbers then.

Boost, because sometimes atmospheric pressure just isn't enough.

Yeah but many vette owners have been known to toss down 400-420rwhp on a stock car. Guess it depends on if it was built on a friday or monday

Ive seen an avg, on honest dynos, stock C6 LS3's putting down 370-380rwhp. There have been a few at 390 but there are too many variables on dynos. I wouldnt buy too much into 400+rwhp from a stock LS3 with the factory tune, real life numbers. Track times prove this. Seen many shops doll up numbers to sell tunes.

These were all tuner cars, meaning no additional parts, just tuning, pretty impressive though still.

80hp jump with a cam and tune is really good. Makes me kinda wish I still had my GTO, minus the $480 car payment.
