Back in Ol' Red's early days it would drive a vacuum gauge nutz. It sucks and blows thru the carb. Part of why getting the correct power valve makes such a difference. even now, if I play with timing, I can see the vacuum gauge jump around. It always stays on the vacuum side at idle, but it's never a rock steady reading,
