The next closest available option was a 3.70, which should have been past one full turn at the hub for four turns at the diff, right?

Btw, junkyards are getting expensive. $200 for everything and we had to argue to get it that low.
As far as the gearing, it sounds right. The 8.8 is pretty stout too - that's a big upgrade.
