Well the interesting bit is that a lot of the fundamental technologies for F1 actually come from the states. For example, carbon fiber, one of the brake suppliers, wheels, electronics systems. . . technologically speaking we're heavily involved.

Anyway, they don't call it Yankee ingenuity for nothing. Do see team McClaren using expanding insulation to a mold for parts . . . I think not.
