The SSC Tuatara uses a four-Cam 7.0-litre twinturbo V8 that reaches 9,000rpm and delivers 1,350hp. The car weighs 1,200 kilograms (2,600 lb) so it manages over 1,000hp per tonne. The Tuatara reaches 0–62 miles per hour (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds and the top speed is an estimated 275 miles per hour (443 km/h).
